I have read many terrifying articles about the penis shrinking as much as 3/4 of an inch as we age. At the same time I have also read studies or articles that state this phenomenon does not occur. One article was particularly disturbing to me because it sited an accumulation of micro trama over your lifetime. Essentially stating that these tiny injuries from sex, sports etc. eventually form scar tissue which reduce elasticity and blood flow and ultimately reduce length. Myself being a very active pumper, stretcher and hanger for years, it made me think, am I setting myself up for major issues down the road?  
Other than prostate related conditions or cardiovascular related diagnosis, has anyone seen research to validate the notion that age equals shrinkage?  It would be nice to hear older members thoughts and start a discussion about whether this is true or not?  I am a very active gym goer and see many naked men of all ages in the locker room.  The main correlation I've ever noticed is thinner men or men with low body fat despite age tend to be bigger flaccid, obviously unsure about erect size as we age?

I think it's really a matter of just doing everything you can to prevent the condition where shrinkage becomes significant. Focus on what you can control. One thing I learned from my early PE days on thunders was about "PIs" (progress indicators) and one of the major indicators that you were doing the "right things" was an increase in nocturnal erections. I have always found this to be true. It's like the body's way of "working out" with zero involvement. You probably spend more time in the erect state while sleeping than while awake, and the EQ if things are going right is 100 percent. There were studies that nightly viagra significantly helped with ED ... pretty sure this was from facilitating the nightly "workout" that your penis gets while sleeping. Just do everything you can to keep that up!

that's very interesting tbh. as i get older i've noticed i'm conciously grateful of waking up with a top class boner.

i don't know about taking viagra nightly tho wtf. i've no doubt it would help with ed but bloody hell, it's a rocking horse of a drug.

That was for guys with ED. I was just using that example to point out the importance of strong nocturnal erections in keeping everything in top condition.

ED is definitely a concern as we age.  But it would bum me out to have a solid erection, 3/4 inch shorter than in my younger years.  If some studies are correct, they aren't saying your erection quality changes but your size does!  I'm not sure?
