Implantee: Bostonman5555 Implanted: 2011, 2012 Implant Removed: 2013 (Dr. Solomon) Costs: $3,000 in airfare, rental car and hotel, $10,500 for procedure (first implant) $3,000 in airfare, rental car and hotel, $4,500 for procedure (second implant) $500 in gas, tolls and hotel, $7,500 for procedure (implant removal) Total: $29,000 Implant Sizes: L, XL Pre-implant Penis Size: 3.5"FL/4"FG/5.5"EL/4.5"EG Implant Penis Size: 5"FL/5"FG/5.5"EL/6"EG (first implant) 5.5"FL/5.5"FG/5.5"EL/6.5"EG (second implant) Doctor's Manner: Consistent in both implant scenarios. During the phone consultations, he was pleasant, calm and helpful. During the pre-op meeting in his office, he obnoxiously rushed you through everything while going through the disclaimers as though you were taking up too much of his time. During this time, his answers to your questions are less patient. Both procedures he arrived an hour and some change late. Both follow-up appointments, he couldn't get me out of his office quickly enough. During my recovery period for the first implant, the skin on my shaft had lesions from the skin being stretched, which he tried to blame on herpes (despite having no medical basis for this conclusion). It was obvious he sought to deflect the blame away from his implant. Milestones: First implant initially gave me skin lesions on the shaft, developed edges behind the glans after 3 months, droopy glans that was unnaturally pointing leftwards and severely deadened sensation along the top of the shaft. After about a year, I had it replaced with a larger implant which had a corner protruding almost immediately and worsened over time. Within 7 months, I had it removed by Dr. Solomon. Retraction of EL from 5.5" to 4" with curvature, unnatural angle and continued deadened sensation along the top of the shaft. Internal Feedback: It was akin to having a dildo stuffed inside my penis. The stretched out flaccid state was enjoyable for the noticeable lump in my pants that it created, but erections were practically the same length as the flaccid state. Enjoyment of sex became dependent upon what pleasure I could derive from the underside of my shaft and glans, as well as intense mental focus. Masterbation took a minimum of an hour to achieve orgasm, and the orgasms were seldom enjoyable. The first implant seemed to produce positive sexual results for my wife before the edges became a problem. The second implant seemed to produce consistently negative sexual results for my wife. Mobility was limited with the implant. Activities such as bounding up the stairs or running at a full sprint were not doable with the implant. I lived with a constant awareness of its position relative to the rest of my body, with the fear that it could rupture and damage me internally with a careless motion. For example, I had to be careful of my position in bed especially in the event that my wife might turn over while I lay facing her with morning wood. It had an odd effect on urination as well: I couldn't shake my penis enough to avoid some urine remaining in my urethra only to emerge after leaving the bathroom. It literally forced me to stand over the toilet for up to 10 minutes following urination dabbing at my pee-hole with a wad of toilet paper to visually determine that the urine supply was exhausted. Even then, there were a few times when urine remained and dribbled out afterwards. This unpleasant ritual ceased with the removal of the implant. External Feedback: My wife's eyes rolled towards the back of her head and was quite audible with the first implant before edges were present. Once I had edges, sex came to a standstill (was oral/manual for a period of 5 months or so). The second implant was too tight, and my wife's desire for sex was drastically reduced. She basically didn't want it unless I pushed for it, and even then preferred to give me head instead of permitting intercourse. After having it removed, she told me that it felt unnatural both in her mouth and vagina. She said it lacked the warmth that a natural penis has, and she vastly preferred my original natural penis. Although I was pretty sure she enjoyed the first implant before the edges, I'm guessing the temperature difference was less of a deal breaker since the girth was more reasonable for her. The Bottom Line: I am now doing extensive PE (stretching, hanging and pumping) in order to regain over 1.5" of retracted length after having had the implant removed. I have retained some capsule and subsequently some additional girth (4.5"FG/5.5"EG). I have lost a considerable amount of sensation that is compensated for by intense mental focus during sex. I consider myself lucky that things have not gone worse. There is nothing permanent about this implant, unless you are lucky enough to keep some capsule once it comes out (not everyone keeps it). You risk losing length and sensation in order to gain girth (achievable with much less risk via PMMA) and the illusion of a longer flaccid penis (achievable via manual PE). Don't take this road. You may fare even worse than myself. I've spent $29,000 to lose sensation, have my penis shortened and incidentally gained a little girth because of leftover scar tissue. Relevent Posts: 1.

I was one of the first guys that i know of to have his implant, way back at the beginning of 2009.
At that time there were no known (implant) horror stories and plenty of Elist shills swimming around the Mynewsize website (along with Dr. Elist himself, my main source of information). In short, I was fed the usual Dr. Elist bullshit, and I lapped it up like a parched dog on a sweltering august day.
A) Less than 1% complication rate
B) Undetectable/Looks and feels completely real
C) Easily removed
D) sensation is not affected
E) blah, blah, blah, blah, blah
It was like leading a lamb to the slaughter....
And...Dr. Elist was late 4 hours for the implant surgery. I had to wait on a gurney for over four hours. I actually ended up having my surgery in the early evening and left the surgicentre around 10 or 11pm. I was originally scheduled to be back in my hotel room by 6pm. This is par for the course with this doctor; he is always late for everything. Too bad this isn't nearly the worst of his offenses.
Oh another beauty...He never gave me any pain meds. When I was leaving the surgicentre, the chief nurse's face looked shocked and then angry (at Dr. Elist) when I informed her of this. Nonetheless, I left the place with nothing to offset the indescribable pain that was waiting for me that night.
And yes, the pain was indescribable. Every time I had a nocturnal erection, I would wake up with a blood curdling scream. No doubt the people in the hotel room beside must have thought something incredibly horrifying or kinky was going on in my room.
Over the next four months my penis healed and I was able to resume my sex life. Unfortunately, my penis had retracted over an inch due to the implant (something the doctor neglected to mention would happen). Another, more disturbing, thing was that I lost about 80% of the sensation on the shaft of my penis. When I first asked the doctor about this, he assured me that it would come back in a "few weeks". When it didn't, he assured me it would come back in "a few months". And when that didn't happen, he blamed it on the fact that I had previous surgeries.
To this day, the sensation to my shaft has never returned.
Fast forward 4 months and my penis suddenly balloons up with puss and is infected. I am (via telephone) informed that I have to have it removed . This meant I had to suddenly fly from Tokyo to LA and take off four days of work (something that is difficult when you are trying to run an office). But hey, my one and only penis was worth it.
Well.. I arrive at his office after a flight from hell, , and the first thing the doctor tells me is that he has "never seen this before". What he was saying is that he never had seen an implant rejected due to infection before...Which was news to me because I had been in contact (through email) that very same week with an implant recipient who had experienced the same I was experiencing , and had to also have it removed. When Dr. Elist told me this, my heart sank because I knew once and for all he was a liar. I had ignored so many warning flags and now I was paying the price. He then went on to explain to me that it (the implant) could have been saved had I come to his clinic when the infection first appeared, and asked me if i had somehow injured my penis to cause this to happen. You see, that's Dr. Elist's "go to move"; He blames the patient for any problem (catastrophic or otherwise) with the implant.
What followed was something that would have been comical if it weren't so horrifying... He proceeded to take the implant out in his (unsanitary) examination room with his secretary as his assistant. He gave me some tea (with some type of narcotic in it) to relieve the pain... As I was leaving his examination room, he have gave me a penis pump and told me I would be able to resume sex in about a week. I was then promptly billed $750.00 for that pump ( later finding out it was only worth $150.00). Nice.
What the good doctor failed to tell me was that my penis length would experience severe retraction due to the trauma and scar tissue. I did end up reclaiming the retracted length (and even more) but my case is quite rare and most implant recipients who have theirs removed (which is a very high percentage), will end up with a shorter, often deformed penis.
I truly believe that Dr. Elist is a criminal...if anybody is thinking of getting the implant, I implore you to reconsider. There are so many implant stories that are worse than mine out there. In fact, I don't know of one truly successful implant story and I've been active on these boards for well over four years....
The prime motivation behind my spending so much of my (treasured) free time on this board is so that I can help prevent other men from experiencing the same nightmare I (and now countless others) have. In fact, as I have always said...If I can prevent even only one man from getting the implant, it will all be worth it.

I'm 5 weeks post-removal tomorrow and now have a long road and who knows how long time to even get back to normal. Here's my quick story in a nutshell:
Had it put in me in late 2011 cause I felt like I needed a self esteem boster. I was 5.5x5.5 erect pre-implant. Paid the same fees as described above yet no horror stories during the travel and implant insertion.
Yet, when i went home and for the 3 weeks after i had a urinary track infection-like symptoms (hospital said there was no infection...) from hell, peeing tissue and large chunks of blood out of my penis every 20s-1m. So, I was sleep deprived and passed out on the floor and couch several times waking up in puddles of bloody urine screaming in agony. Longest, scariest time of my life.
That's when I first found these boards in my desperation for help... Too late to stop what I had done but i believe it was Messageman whom consolled me and walked me back from the brink. (Thanks brother, I really owe you big time )
2 months in, things are healing nicely but my member looks like a thing out of horror books. My penis was 4" in length and 7.5" girth at the base, coming down to a 5.5 at my glans... Condoms were unusable and sex was out of the question... I lived like that for a little over a year and was deeply depressed. Even contemplated suicide among other things. And I was generally an upbeat, half glass full kind of guy.
Finally decided last month enough was enough. Take it out of me regardless the cost. Now I'm left with a 4x5.5(6 at base) penis with absolutely no sensation on the top of the entire shaft including the head and glands of my penis. I could quite literally stick a needle in my top glans And would feel nothing.
I don't know what the future holds, I cant use the bib hanger because my fella is too small and I'm refusing to date because of my embarassment. I have a considerable amount of issues not mentioned above including discoloration that won't go away, extra subpubescent bulge making my member look like 3.5 instead of the bone pressed 4 ive been left with and my erect state is no longer firm but playdoughy, especially on the top. I'm no longer sure if i can ever reach my goal of 7x6 due to this implant and have seriously considered getting lipo to remove the bulge and pmma to even out the penis.
I've also been trying to post here for help and guidance from similar persons but most of my questions have gone unanswered, probably because no one knows or I'm in a unique position? Regardless, I'm here for anyone who is going or will need to go through the same ordeal. I'll answer what I can the BS you'll hear such as the VitB and Folic Acid supplements the good doc tells you to take to revitalize the sensation does not work. Nor does anything else they have ever said.
Please.. please avoid Dr. Elist if you care to continue living a normal and healthy life.

I had testicle implants in June 2009. He squeezed me in last minute, b/c I had a break in my schedule, so he agreed to do me. On the day of the procedure, he had also agreed to do someone else who needed something re-worked with a previous implant. The result was that he had two too many patients that day and he was really rushed.
The day before the procedure, I went to his office and he examined me and explained the procedure and showed me the silicone implants. The next day, I went to the clinic where I signed a lot of disclaimers without anyone there except the office person, who didn't know anything about the forms, b/c they were Dr. Elist's, not that clinic's. I was there all day and b/c he was so over-booked, I waited until 4 PM (I got there at 9 AM?). He hurriedly spoke to me ahead of time and apologized b/c he had to take the other last-minute guy first, b/c he had to drive back with his wife to some town a couple of hours away. They needed to beat the rush hour traffic and I was okay with it, b/c I had no where to go. When I woke up, everyone was gone, but the clinic's nurse. Because it was so late on a Friday afternoon, she put me on a wheelchair and whisked me out the door. Dr. Elist's associate doctor called me the next day and a couple of times again once I got home, but I never spoke to Dr. Elist again after the quick chat while I was awaiting surgery. I thought that that was bad form on his part. I told him in the office that I would like the balls to hang down lower, and asked if he could he do that. He said that he could make them hang as low as I wanted, but the reality is that there is no change. Dr. Reed in Miami told me that that is because of the way Dr. Elist attaches them. I didn't really understand and I'm not sure that it is possible to make them hang lower, but I am disappointed that Dr. Elist wasn't forthright about it to begin with. This was all the bad part. The good part is that I never had any complications and never felt a lot of pain. He gave me a pain killer Rx, but I never took any of them. The testicles don't cup around the natural testes as seamlessly as he claimed, but they're not too bad. They are however, much harder than a natural testes and any sexual partner knows it immediately. However, I understand that Dr. Elist has a newer, softer, formula that is more natural. I also understand from another Elist patient that they can't go any softer, b/c the silicone won't hold together. I don't know, I'm just passing on what I've been told. I've thought about the PE implant, but my dick is a little larger than average, and with all the horror stories I've heard, I don't want to risk it. I can't remember how much I paid, but I think it was about $9k. As a side note, TSA scanners pick up on the implants and I have been pulled into a room for a pat-down inspection and explosives scan. It wasn't any big deal though. I told them immediately that I have testicle implants and asked if that's what the scanner picked up on. They said that they didn't know, that the guy reading the monitor doesn't say. I'm sure they were told where the potential problem is by the scanner, but they won't share that with you. I flew two weeks ago and they scanned me and didn't pull me aside. It did take the technician just a moment to click on the green "okay" light. Silicone testicles are easy to explain and not embarrassing, b/c they just assume that I'm a cancer survivor. But a PE would be more difficult to explain and would be embarrassing. I was in a hurry to catch my plane, but they have their slow, standard procedure. They were extremely professional and careful to explain what they were doing before they did it, and they never touched my groin area. I wanted to just drop my pants and tell them to squeeze my balls and let me go before the plane left without me! LOL More modest guys might be offended by the TSA search, but it didn't bother me in the least. It is something to think about though. If you're traveling with someone, they'll want to discuss what it could be that triggered a personal body search. In the end, I feel like Elist is a good, capable surgeon, but is really lacking in business acumen. He should be smarter about how he handles people and recognize that taking time to discuss things with his patients is part of the business, not an annoyance. He should also realize that unkept promises will kill his business. I'd recommend him for testicle implants, b/c I believe that they are a much easier procedure and easier to obtain successful results than PE implants. There are successful PE implants by Elist, but there are also some bitterly unsuccessful ones as well. I decided that the odds are just too bad to take a chance on them. If you have any questions, ask.

I wish i had read all this information posted here prior to do the PE surgery with Dr Elist. Now its too late for that. I have had the implant for 4 week now and I am still experiencing lots of pain and swelling. Its worst during night time with the erections. There is also edges of the implant which is very sharp close to the glans and is really painful if it comes in contact with anything. Further more i have lost at least 1-2 inch in EL. Now that i have read all this scary stories I have decided to remove the implant. Is there anyone who can guide me through the procedure, how long is the post surgical recovery and how can i get back my length back.

Did you find this site as you were already concerned about the implant, or have you become concerned since reading the information here? I think you should only have it removed if you were already worried about how things were going and didn't like the implant. As much as I'm opposed to the implant, I don't like the idea of the posts at this forum scaring people into having it removed. There has been the odd success story after all. I haven't had the implant myself, but I think pain and swelling are still fairly normal at this point. I'm unsure about the sharpness close to the glans and obviously infection becomes a worry if the edge is sharp enough to damage the tissue.
