You better ask this question on "FrankTalk". It's a specific board for men with ED.

FrankTalk is an excellent resource as Herbert suggested.  However, I am certainly qualified to offer my words of experience.

I have been fortunate that I had a better than porn star size penis that was always rock hard. In my 50's, I started having to worry about my sleep, the amount of wine consumed, my diet, and sometimes, I had to talk to it really nice before it would work.   Then, at 55, it broke during sex (yes, one can break their dick -- it is called a "fractured penis" which occurs when you pull out too far and push back in at the wrong angle == it bends, then there is a "pop" then an: "What was that?").  After refusing the emergency room surgery that would have required degloving my penis, irrigating out the clots, suturing whatever ruptured, and then sewing me back up, I developed internal scarring inside of my penis (which is called "peyronies disease").  The peyronies caused an hourglass shape, there was major constriction at the base, and the scarring (since it does not stretch like normal penis tissue) caused a "S" shape curvature in addition to the hourglass shape.  I went from a hard 9.5 x 7 to a floppy curved 7x5.5 and after about six months, I could not even get penetration, even after injection copious amounts of tri-mix right into my penis.

After Xiaflex injections to soften up the scars, I had a Titan Coloplast implanted which straightened out junior right away.  In fact, it is now straight as an arrow.  More importantly, I can now get hard anytime I want, for as long as I want.  While there is a pump in my scrotum, and my penile shaft does not feel exactly like it did before I broke it, let me tell you that I LOVE my implant.  I can concentrate on sex, rather than having to continually worry about maintaining an erection. It is an awesome feeling for me to walk around knowing I can hands down out perform any 18 year old.  You will feel the same.

My advice would be to go with a high volume implanter.  Mine was not, and one side is a quarter inch longer than the other, and my reservoir does not contain enough fluid to max out my implant.   Even with the problems which will be fixed with a revision by another doctor, I still LOVE my implant.  In terms of confidence, it is akin to walking down an alley with a 10mm pistol in your pocket, because after all, with an implant, you will truly be the Bionic Man, and genuinely, no 18 year old could possibly outperform an implantee.
